Humans have always made mistake after mistake with their water and food combinations that have led to multiple acute and chronic symptoms. This has led to the fall of Rome, the poisoning of our own babies with the milk formula and the poisoning of ourselves with omega 6 overdose by recycling vegetable oil as a cooking oil and food processing:

North America that has become the fastfood nation suffers from a nonstop rise in obesity and when are we going to start observing the real missing supplement in our foods. Whether it be our own children, family, dogs, cats, fish, birds we are not feeding them what is right, instead we are feeding them what is affordable. What is wrong is the global consumer is misinformed.
Looking at milk, could you imagine that scientists could come up with ways where the cows would be so malnourished that the milk they produce has a substantial decrease in protein? What is worse is that this is happening where the human population is the largest in the world and the material being added into the milk is listed on the front of the bottle as a cancer suspect agent.
My heart is saddened because I had a chance to stop things. On January 16, 2008 I had the God-given opportunity to change thing (I'll be posting this soon). Failure came when they realized the cost of bringing me on board and that Dr.Gordon Chiu was highly against using melamine. The problems have just begun. Because melamine has always been known as an irritant and cancer suspect agent, it is now in the water supply, in the community farms and the soil. People keep wondering how come there are no cures for cancer? I don't think there are no cures, it is just that there are so many new causes for cancer that we can't really stop them all. If anyone is out there, please visit voice out your opinions. This is where I came from and I believe that our leaders and the media/reporters are gravely misinformed.
Let's look at fish. We choose to farm our fish to solve the food chain issue (sounds like a wonderful idea, right?) . So will we let the other fish (nonfarm raisable, inexpensive ones) just die off? Will our children only know several generations from now that the Chilean Seabass, salmon, garoupa etc are the only major fishes in the world? And do we even know what to feed the fish? Would you want to eat the same food every meal? Does this make any sense to you (the reader)? And if the fish are fed the wrong kinds of foods and live in the improper environment won't this affect the taste of the fish or the way the fish acts? Or how about any cancer suspect agent contaminants in the feed? Bacterial controls?
Here's a thought: The right diet is key to a good life. Diets cannot be constantly the same unless the food is flawless. If there is a food allergy (gluten, peanuts, soy etc) that is subclinical and hidden by frequently repeating the same subclinical ingredients, you risk magnifying the allergy response. The folks who came up with meals called it a die-it because the way they designed these meals ... well you could die-from-it. Chronic disease is as critical as short term acutes because the hidden costs and impacts on productivity are unknown.
